Over a decade of excellence
The technology behind GEON was developed and patented in 2009 by a multidisciplinary team of accomplished scientists and engineers. Drawing expertise from the space and nuclear sectors, as well as physics, chemistry, mathematics, and geology, the team combined advanced spectral science with satellite-based sensing to create a revolutionary method for remote resource discovery. This cross-functional collaboration enabled the development of a system capable of identifying subsurface deposits with exceptional precision, without any physical contact with the land.
The company’s R&D and data analysis operations are headquartered in California, USA, while its international partnerships and client relations are managed through its hub in Dubai, UAE.
To date, GEON’s technology has been applied in over 40 projects across 20 countries on five continents. Many of these projects are considered globally unique, with no comparable methodologies elsewhere in the industry. Notable examples include the shale gas discovery in Texas, gold exploration in Madagascar, and a freshwater identification project in the Sultanate of Oman, alongside numerous other successful surveys for hydrocarbons, minerals, and deep water reserves.
Recognitions
GEON Tech received the First Prize for Best Water Search Technology at the InterEcoForum 2019 in Marbella, Spain. The esteemed “Crystal Drop of Water” award was given for our successful demonstration of water discovery in some of the world’s most arid regions, including the Sahara, Gobi, and Danakil deserts.
